Learn more about Marin Waldorf School’s innovative, interdisciplinary, and child-centered education in preschool, kindergarten, and grades 1-8. Visit our beautiful 10-acre campus in Lucas Valley for our annual Open House.

  • Visit classrooms, playgrounds, and teaching gardens,

  • Take a self-led tour of our beautiful 10-acre campus (see more below!) or join us for guided tour with MWS staff at 10am or 11am.

  • Meet preschool, kindergarten, elementary school, and middle school faculty.

  • Chat with our school director, current parents, and alumni.

  • Join us for delicious homemade snacks and coffee.

This is an all-ages event. The whole family is welcome!


(1) Welcome! Put on a name tag, grab a snack and a cup of coffee, and use the map to take a self-guided tour of campus. You can also join a guided tour of campus at 10:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m., departing from the breezeway.

(2) Start with treats: Begin your visit at our preschool, transitional kindergarten (TK), and kindergarten classrooms, where you can sample the delicious homemade snacks our students enjoy every day. Meet teachers, walk around the play yard, and learn about the daily rhythm in our play-based early childhood program.

(3)(4) Discover our elementary school: Meet grades teachers, view student work, and learn how arts and movement are infused into the academic experience at MWS. Check out the sample schedules posted at the entrance to the classroom, and talk with our Spanish and Mandarin teachers.

(5) Visit Educational Support: Stop by our Educational Support classroom to learn about the many ways we nurture and guide our students.

(6)(7) Make and Grow: Take a peek into the wood shop, where students in grades 5–8 craft beautiful and practical creations, then smell the flowers in our beautiful biodynamic teaching garden, everyone’s favorite outdoor classroom.

(8) Dive Into Middle School: Experience the depth of learning in our Middle School classrooms and see how we prepare students for high school and beyond.

(9) Finish Strong Meet the School Director: After exploring the campus, refill your coffee and stop by the eurythmy room to meet our school director, Megan Neale, and chat with alumni about their journey from preschool through 8th grade.
